Side Hustle into Main Hustle

The majority of the creatives I talk to want to do their thing full-time one day.

If you want to turn your side hustle into your main dream hustle one day…

I’m sharing 5 tips that’ll help you do your thing full-time one day.

These are the same actions that helped me grow my side hustle into my 6-figure full-time dream job while working a Corporate Cubicle day job.

5 Tips to Go Full-Time You

I should note, there are a few unicorns that love their day job…

They simply want to grow something they love on the side.

Each of these 5 tips will still work for you!

1️⃣ Grind on your dream job before you clock into your 9-5.⁣

I’m NOT telling you that you have to wake up early to be successful.

This is what worked for me, along with countless students of mine + industry leaders I've connected with over the years.

Maybe you're hella motivated and do your best work in the evenings, that's totally cool.

This is for those who are:

  1. Looking for even more focused time to grind.

  2. Constantly too tired to work on their own stuff at the end of the day.

When I started waking up early and selfishly putting my dream first, something inside me radically changed…

My confidence grew and my progress exploded...all because I chose to make myself a priority before clocking in on someone else’s dream.

2️⃣ Make moves on your lunch and 10-minute breaks.⁣

Again, be selfish.

Unless you’re getting paid for working OT, DON’T give your day job more free hours in a day.

You could be pouring that precious finite time into building your dream.

My breaks at my last day job were sacred…

I built my entire podcasting network over my friggin’ lunch breaks!

3️⃣ Trade Distractions for Investments

Outside of waking up early, the next thing that exploded my side hustle...

Was trading partying and video games for investing big in myself.

Don’t get me wrong, I still have my fun from time to time in moderation…

And I’ll 100% get the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet later this year. 😅

But I know myself and realize socializing + gaming are better served as rare rewards for hitting targets.

It makes me feel less guilty and appreciate them more when I've earned them.

I know that if I truly want that massive goal, transformation, and/or result…

It requires commitment, scaling back, and sacrificing shit that doesn’t serve the dream.

 4️⃣ Say NO

Early on in my creative career, everything was an opportunity.

Over time, I've been able to slowly understand:

  • What I want and why I want it.

  • How to prioritize what matters most.

  • How to distinguish Hell Yes opportunities from distractions.

When I'm clear on what's most important that moves my creative biz forward each day...

The easier it is to confidently say NO to whatever holds back the wicked gains I'm chasing.

 5️⃣ Delayed Gratification

Delayed gratification is one of the most powerful traits you can practice…

(Along with grit and perseverance. )

Yet we live in a society that markets false microwaveable results—like "How to grow your TikTok to 10k in 10 days!" bullshit.

Building your hobby, into a side hustle, into a full-time dream job is a straight-up slow and steady grind.

In my opinion, it requires you to:

  • Respect the growth that comes with sharpening your craft.

  • Develop processes, systems, habits, and routines.

  • Tap into purposeful play so you can show up during the hard times.

Dreams aren't given—they're made.

Treat Your Side Hustle Like it’s Your Full-Time Grind

Alright, I could've packed in like 20+ tips, but this email would've become a book...

At the end of the day, the main point I'm driving home is to master the art of...

Treating your side hustle like it’s your full-time grind!

This mindset helps prepare you for the day you take the big leap.

If you didn’t show up for work and hit your deadlines for your day job, you’re 100% not going to have a stellar career.

The same thing applies to your creative pursuits…

You gotta take yourself seriously if you want serious results.

You’re here because you take yourself seriously…

But maybe you need a little external ammunition from a qualified source—someone/something that can help you tap into those big dream results?

If you’re looking for a little guidance on how to take yourself and your work to the next level…
